Campanello, chief of the Gloucester, Mass. Police Department, created one of the most innovative programs offering assistance to people suffering from heroin and opioid addiction. Through the ANGEL Initative, Gloucester police help users get into rehabilitation treatment, all they need to do is ask. The project is so popular, police in other towns across the United States are adopting it.
